Creativity Abounds June Blog Hop 2021

Hello my crafty friends and welcome to my blog.

It's that time again where the Creativity Abounds Design Team, a group of very keen Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators from all around the world come together to share our creative ideas with you. We are happy that you can join us and hope that we can Inspire you to make creations of your own.

You may be starting here or have come from someone else's blog - either way there is a list at the end of this post to help you move around all the different blogs and get many amazing ideas. We all have our country listed - so if you are looking for a demonstrator in your country, these demonstrators would love to look after you with your Stampin' Up!® shopping or if you would like to join our Stampin' Up!® teams.

Meet the Design Team from all over the world:

This is a monthly tutorial and this month, we are highlighting the HAND-PENNED SUITE. You can see the products on pages 104-105 of the Annual Catalogue.

I told a friend recently, that it depends on my mood as to what DSP I use. Sometimes I am ready for bold, bright and other times, a more subtle vibe. I feel that the Hand-Penned DSP is my subtle side. You will see below the coordinating colours for this Suite of products, but I have added Pumpkin Pie to the two smaller flowers. You can see the difference between the Pale Papaya and Pumpkin Pie but it is only subtle as I did 2nd generation (also known as stamping off) with the Pumpkin. You may have also noticed the difference in the blue flowers? It is the same thing - full strength and 2nd generation but using the same ink pad, Misty Moonlight. You can get many shades from the same ink pad just by stamping off - give it a try.

The colours that coordinate with this Suite are:

Just look at all those colours. So pretty and yet again, colours I have not thought to put together. The team at SU! HQ do an amazing job.

As you can see, I have raised a couple of the layers - basic white and flowers. Aren't those flowers beautiful. This is a two-step stamp set, meaning that you have the outline stamp (in black ink) and the solid stamp to add colour. If you didn't want to use the solid stamp, you could use any of  your colouring tools like, Stampin' Blends, Blender Pen + ink, daubers or watercolour pencils, to name a few. I kept the sentiment in a soft colour so that the flowers were the focal point of the card and added the coordinating ribbon.

I always seem to forget to photograph the inside of my cards, but luckily, I remembered this time! Just a simple design using a leftover piece of DSP.

Below is the blog hop list of the Creativity bounds Designers.
