Let's Craft Together May 2023 Blog Hop

Hello, my crafty friends and welcome to my blog.

We are a quartet of multi-cultural SU! demonstrators in Australia who have developed a strong friendship through our love of stamping and our admiration of each other’s style of crafting. We will be doing a monthly blog hop where you can join along with us.

Use hashtag #LCTC - Let's Craft Together Challenge

Today's challenge is a Z Fold card. Your card can be vertical or horizontal. The image above shows you the measurements. After you have scored the 5cm piece, you will need to flip it around 180 degrees when putting the card together.

I kind of went to town with this card! ๐Ÿ˜ I think you can probably tell that I really like the Tropical Leaf Bundle (stamp & punch). I also used it for last month's Creativity Abounds blog hop & tutorial, so I decided to change up the colour scheme today. I mean, it is Autumn here in Australia with Winter fast approaching. I love how the leaves turned out. I first stamped them with a solid colour e.g., Crushed Curry, then I inked up a dauber and light tapped Pumpkin Pie around the leaf. I then stamped the image onto Basic White cardstock, so you have a very Autumn looking leave changing colours. The darker leaf I stamped in Pumpkin Pie then added Cajun Craze with my dauber. Mix and match and see which combinations you like. The other type of leaf I added was from Two-Toned Flora set. I did 2nd generation stamping with these and I even added Copper Clay. The gold foil leaves from the Artistically Inked Dies, just top it off and add some interest and you all know about my foil obsession! ๐Ÿ˜ Lastly, the gold trim from the Simply Elegant Trim pack tied into a big bow and the sentiment from Artistically Inked set stamped in Versamark and white emboss powder set with my heat tool. I used my paper snips to cut the banner on each side. I adhered this using dimensionals.

The 5.5cm piece is what all the leaves are adhered to so you cannot see that piece, except for a small bit right at the bottom - if you look closely! You might find it hard to see but I added some Wink of Stella on the veins of some of the leaves.

You can see better here where the 5.5cm piece and the leaves. You can write on the back of the card if you have a lot to say or see where to two embellishment dots are at the top? There is enough space to write something there as well. The card will lay flat.
