To A Wild Rose

Hello and welcome to my blog.

Thank you for joining us for our Stampin' Up!® Demonstrator Monthly Team Blog Hop! We are so happy that you could join us today for this blog hop for ideas and creative inspiration. We are a group of Stampin' Up!® Demonstrators from around the world that are taking part in training that is helping us to build a successful Stampin' Up!® business and reach some goals we have set. We really appreciate your support.

You may be starting here or have come from another blog - either way you can find the link list at the bottom of this post so that you can see every blog post and idea today.

Here is the project that I have made for our hop today.

Roses are my absolute favourite flower. I had roses in my wedding bouquet and then I bought the same ones and planted them in my garden. Unfortunately, that was back when I was living in the UK, so I had to leave them behind when I moved back to Australia. Boo hoo. I recently bought the To A Wild Rose stamp set and coordinating dies (why did it take me so long?) and had to have a play.

I love how this turned out. I stamped the outline with versamark ink and heat set with white embossing powder. I cut out a mask of the flower and then I stamped the leaves where I wanted them. I also heat set them with white embossing powder and coloured them in using my aqua painter and granny apple green ink. There are 3 stamps that make up this rose flower. I have used two of them in this project 1 & 2 (see picture below).

You can see the stamps and shading in this picture.

I love to fussy cut the sentiments and have been doing it on almost all my cards lately. Don't be afraid to give this a go. I have adhered the hello with dimensionals. I am still sad that the flax ribbon is retiring. I love to pull it apart and make bows like I have below.

Card Measurements: Imperial
Base card - Crumb Cake = 4" x 11" (score @ 5 1/2")
Layer 1 - Whisper White = 3 3/4" x 5 1/4"
Layer 2 - Crumb Cake = 3 5/8" x 5 1/8"

Card Measurements: Metric

Base card - Crumb Cake = 10.5cm x 28cm (score @ 14cm)
Layer 1 - Whisper White = 10cm x 13.5cm
Layer 2 - Crumb Cake = 9.7cm x 13.2cm

    1. Thanks Angie. Yes, I had 3 different colours of roses (white, light pink and dark pink) that I left behind. I have managed to find similar here.
