Just Do It!

Hello and welcome to my blog.

Today's cards didn't start out as a card. It did start out as a "I want to see how the copper embossing powder looks". I happened to grab Melon Mambo cardstock. 

Look at that beautiful copper embossing. I just love it. Now, there is nothing flash about this card...at all! I layered the image onto copper foil which gave it a bit of life but it was still missing something.

Can you see what I've done? I added some colour to the image. I got out my watercolour pencils and added some dimension to the flower and leaves. I am not an expert at colouring images but I don't think I did too badly.

I went back over with the white pencil a second time as my first layer was only light and it basically disappeared when I used my aqua painter.

So, my "Just Do It" title means, pick up a product you don't usually work with and see what you can achieve! You never know until you try.
