Firstly, I have to apologise if you receive my blog post via email. You will notice that it was not complete. I started typing this post yesterday morning but with home schooling, I had to walk away and help the kids out. I had scheduled this post to go out this morning but I have been suffering from a headache for most of this week (boy, do I miss my chiropractor right now) and it all became too much late yesterday. I went to bed early and completely forgot about typing up this post. So, let's get on and talk about my card.
Gee, I really love this card! It is bright and cheerful and in the current situation we are all in, we all could do with some cheerfulness. I hope you are all doing okay. I fussy cut the sentiment from the Ornate Thanks stamp set which I heat embossed with white embossing powder on black cardstock. You can't see, but there is a bit of shimmer mixed in with bermuda bay ink.
The frosted bling are from the frosted & clear epoxy droplets. You can see the shimmer now and to top it off, I also used my trusted wink of stella glitter brush on the flower but only on the lines indicating the shading. So to do shimmer, you will need the frost white shimmer paint, and aqua painter and watercolour paper (Fluid 100). I started with the bermuda bay ink and washed it on the watercolour paper with the aqua painter - no need to be neat with this part. Next, you can either clean your aqua painter and dip the brush in the lid of the shimmer paint or, if you have an eye droplet, put a few drops over the bermuda bay ink then use your aqua painter to spread the shimmer around. A little shimmer goes a long way!
You can see the layers better here. I am loving the Ornate Layers dies too. I rounded the corners of the flower layer with the detailed trio punch. I could have left it rectangular...but I didn't! LOL
