From The Bottom Of My Heart

Hello and welcome to my blog.

Have you ever made your own patterned paper? I had a bit of a play with the new Water Painters and some Ink Pads. I also sprayed Shimmer paint over the top and it looks oh so pretty.

I cut a piece of whisper white cardstock 0.5cm smaller than the base card and with all three water painters (one for each colour of ink), I ran them across the cardstock. As you can hopefully see, the water painters come in 3 different sizes. I stamped the flower from the Prized Peony bundle in Momento ink and coloured it using coastal cabana ink with the smallest water painter. The leaves I coloured in with mint macaron blends.

The three ink colours I used for the background were coastal cabana, crumb cake and real red. The cardstock is sahara sand as even though I used crumb cake ink, when water coloured, the ink becomes lighter so I felt crumb cake cardstock was too dark.

I always like to add dimension to my cards so I raised the flower using dimensionals. The sentiment is from Ornate Thanks stamp set. My go-to for sentiments of late is to stamp in versamark on black cardstock and heat emboss with white embossing powder.
