Thanks, You're Amazing

Hello and welcome to my blog.

At the end of June, I hosted an online card class. At the end of July, it was Maheswari's turn and this is the card she demonstrated. I copied the card almost to a tee - my sentiment is done differently and I used a different embossing folder.

I have used Ornate Style (flower) and Ornate Thanks (sentiment) on this card. I love the layers -  something I would not normally do.

Even though the card base is Misty Moonlight, I have used Night of Navy blends on the bigger flowers and smoky slate blends on the smaller flowers. They layer above the base card is embossed vellum. I used the Parisian Flourish embossing folder.

I love the dimension on this card.

I enjoyed making Maheswari's card so much, here is my version using the same layout.

I used the Dainty Diamonds embossing folder on the vellum layer and the die cut flower is from the Many Layered Blossoms dies. I added some crinkled seam binding ribbon to my project and the striped background I did using ink pads with the water painters and then I sprayed some frost white shimmer paint over the top.

You can see the shimmer on the striped layer here. It is so pretty and the detail of the Dainty Diamonds embossing folder. To adhere the die cut blossoms flower, I took some liquid glue and put it on my silicone craft sheet, I then used a small section of a sponge to dab in the glue and dabbed that glue onto the back of the flower. Picking it up carefully, I then placed it on the striped layers.

I had so much fun making these cards.

Thank you Maheswari for your beautiful creation.
