Merry Christmas

Hello and welcome to my blog.

Today is Day 24 of the #30DayChristmasCardMakingChallenge and it is a colour challenge - Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Rich Razzleberry.

I did start with a Rich Razzleberry card base but I just couldn't get the colours to work for me so I changed to Old Olive card base as you now see.

I didn't want to have a plain card base so I cut another old olive layer 0.5cm smaller than the card base and embossed that with one of the Wrapped In Texture embossing folders (there are two in the pack). I then got my blending brush and with old olive ink pad, I inked the edges and lightly went over the whole layer - mostly to colour the raised dots from the embossing folder.

Can you see that shimmer on the pumpkin pie? Soooo pretty. I used the Frost White Shimmer Paint mixed with rubbing alcohol in a tiny spray bottle and sprayed the pumpkin pie cardstock before using the stitched stars dies to cut out the stars. The sentiment I wanted to keep small so I went straight to Christmas Gleaming stamp set.

I do love how this came together. The dimensionals on the back of the rich razzleberry star is also holding the swirly pumpkin pie star in place and a mini glue dot in the centre of the other pumpkin pie star in holding it is place.

Don't forget my...
