Tasteful Touches Matchbook Gift Treat

Hello and welcome to my blog.

I have to apologise, as I was meant to post this project prior to Halloween...I know, the decoration on the front is not really to do with Halloween but what is inside is. We are not a Halloween house here in Australia, although, I love to see all the projects that everyone makes, therefore, I don't own any Halloween stamps.

I have a cute matchbook project for today. My husband found some lollies (sweets, candy) in the supermarket for the kids to try. You will see them below (scroll down).

I have used Tasteful Touches stamp set along with the Forever Flourishing dies and dainty diamonds 3D embossing folder.

You can see how it folds and goes together here in this photo.

Yes, they are skittles, and not just any skittles but rotten zombie skittles. The orange ones are gross! Although, two of my kids liked them, so I guess they weren't that bad. The other three spat the orange ones out! LOL

I stamped the flower in smoky slate and fussy cut it out. The foliage behind is from the forever flourishing dies and I have cut that out with whisper white cardstock. I just love the dianty diamonds 3D embossing folder and you can really see it in this photo on the petal pink cardstock. I think this cardstock was an off cut from another project and I just embossed it. The same with the vellum but I did have to cut that to the width of the project.

This staple is what is holding the skittles in place and also helps the project to stay closed. TiP: staple as close to the bottom as you can. If you staple too high, the cardstock won't sit properly.

I hope you enjoyed this project. It was fun to make and sorry I forgot to post it earlier.
