Hello crafty friends and welcome to my blog.
I am back to doing a challenge card! It has been weeks (more like longer) since I was able to join in on a challenge. My dear friend Maheshwari encouraged me to get back into it.
So, today's card challenge is from The Spot.
This is actually the second card I made for the challenge. My first card which I have included below, I was happy with but I felt the foliage got a bit lost in the DSP, so this is my second attempt and I LOVE how it turned out.
Would you like to see just how I made the Pretty Peacock rectangle layer?
Using the die from the Painted Label Dies, I ran it through my Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine but I only ran 3/4 of the die through before rolling it back out. I moved the die down keeping it in line with what I had already cut, then using some tape to keep the die in place, I turned the cardstock 108 Degrees and ran it through, but again only 3/4 of the way. Yo don't wan to go all the way as you will just cut off the extended part and you will have to start again.
I placed the foliage on top of the Pretty Peacock layer and moved them around until I was happy, then placed some liquid glue under each piece and adhered them but on the tip I placed a mini dimensional which gives some life to it.
I added the white twine but wanted to give some shimmer so I added the gold trim from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack.
You can follow The Spot for their next challenge.
