Stampin' Up! Artistically Inked

It's Wednesday! Or should I say, happy hump day! But no, I should say happy first day of Spring! And hasn't the weather been nice so far this week. I have been out for a 7km and 8km walk so far with another planned for tomorrow. I hope your week is going well.

 

I sat at my desk the other night and asked my youngest boy (as he came to say goodnight), what colour did he think I should work with? He had a look around and pointed to Flirty Flamingo (that's my boy! He picked pink). So, I went with it and worked in some Soft Succulent as well, with a bit of Blushing Bride. The large flower in the center looks a different colour, but it is Flirty Flamingo, just 2nd generation stamping (stamping off). I stamped the image onto some scrap paper first, then onto basic white card stock. This lightens the tone. The other two large flowers are stamped directly on to basic white, so the colour is more intense. It is the same with the leaves. You can see the different shades and now you know how I achieved it. The circles I cut from the Layering Circles Dies in basic white and soft succulent card stock.

As you can see, I raised only one flower, the center one. The rest are adhered to the circle die as are the leaves. You can see that the small flowers are a different colour - they are stamped in Blushing Bride ink.

The small flowers I covered in wink of stella because you always need some sparkle in your life - right! 😉

Layer 1 - Soft Succulent = 3 1/4" x 3 1/4"
Layer 2 - Basic White = 3" x 3"

About this Event
