Stampin' Up! Potted Succulents Dies

Hello my crafty friends and welcome to my blog.

I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Stampin' Up! South Pacific had a Craft-Along-A-Thon event for demo's on Saturday, and now that I can gather with my friends, 3 of us gathered and watched and crafted and chatted. It was a great afternoon.

I have seen some ombre cards on Pinterest and thought, I can do that! I grabbed my blending brush, polished pink ink pad and went to town on the basic white card base. I started at the top of the card with the darker shading and worked my way down.

If you are smarter than me, you would have placed adhesive sheets on the back of the basic white cardstock you want to use to die cut that gorgeous intricate succulent background out with, so you can adhere it straight to the card base. Can you guess that I didn't add the adhesive. LOL. So, I placed some liquid glue along the top and bottom and dotted some around. Works just as well. I always die cut and then think, damn, I should have added the adhesive sheets. Oh well, next time! LOL

I don't often watercolour but I had soooooo much fun with the watercolour pencils, blender pens, and the Simply Succulent stamp set. I coloured in the smallest flower with Melon Mambo (assortment pack 1) and Flirty Flamingo (assortment pack 2). Can you see it sparkles? Oh yeah, I added wink of stella I also coloured in the large succulent image but that is for another project coming soon. Look at those pretty jewels. They are the In Colour Jewels. They are bright and cheerful and make me happy.
