Dressed To Impress

Hello and welcome to my blog.

I am behind schedule today, I'm sorry. I attended the funeral of my Uncle on Monday and yesterday was struggling with a migraine, so nothing got done. I have cards to photograph, edit and posts to type. I also have all 5 kids home as they are on school holidays here for 2 weeks! Things may not go to plan...LOL

So, finally, here is my card for today!

I wanted to make my own patterned paper so I pulled out my Dressed to Impress stamp set. I cut a strip of paper and laid that across the whisper white cardstock to create a clear space for the sentiment. I stamped the perfume bottle in Momento ink then with my water colour brushes and the following inks (pool party, flirty flamingo and blushing bride) I coloured in the background and bottles. It is hard to see, but I have run my wink of stella over the lid of the perfume bottle so it sparkles.

You have seen me stamp onto black cardstock and heat emboss with white embossing powder but I wanted to show you that you can still fussy cut your sentiment with the traditional black on white. I added the champagne rhinestones as you have to add some bling - right?

You can probably see that I actually first stamped the sentiment on the whisper white layer but I am afraid that I can't do a card without dimension.
