Tasteful Touches

Hello and welcome to my blog.

Do you mix and match your stamps and dies? I do it all the time. As you will see in my project today, I have mixed a few things together and come up with this beautiful card.

I had the foliage pieces left over from another project using the Forever Fern bundle. I usually stamp more than I need so I always have extras lying around. I have also used the Greenery embossing folder on the whisper white layer behind the foliage.

You can see the dimension on this card. I usually don't raise the layer I adhere to the base card, but sometimes it just calls for added dimension. I thought this was one of those times. I also added dimension under the vellum layer and then again under the sentiment.

With raising the vellum layer, I could place the foliage underneath. If you ever, as an afterthought, want to add anything to your projects and you have some dimension, you are able to slide additional pieces underneath. Sometimes, you may need to cut them shorter as the dimensionals can get in the way, but there is always a way around it.

I am in love with vellum...and foil...and fussy cutting my sentiments...and bling/sparkle on my projects. This one has them all! Vellum can add just a little something to your project if you feel it is missing something. It won't interfere with your focal point either. I highly recommend purchasing some vellum. The gems are the frosted ones from the frosted and clear epoxy droplets.
