Stampin' Up! Plenty of Patterns Masks

Hello my crafty friends and welcome to my blog.

I finally remembered to order the new masks in the Annual Catalogue! I still have most of the retired masks from years ago, but I kept forgetting to add this one to my orders - silly me!

When I first had this card in mind, I didn't think of the Ombre look, but as I started at the bottom and worked my way up the layer, then the Ombre came about - and I love it. I taped down the mask from the Plenty of Patterns Masks pack over the basic white layer and while holding it all down together and using my blending brushes, went to town with Blackberry Bliss ink pad.

Here you can see that I have raised the sentiment layers using dimensionals under the gold foil piece but for ease and quickness, I have used mini glue dots to adhere the blackberry bliss and the sentiment layers. You can certainly use your liquid glue but it does take extra time to dry because the foil is not non-porous.

Are you wondering how those gold lines got there? Well, let me tell you. I have a glue pen from Sakura called Quickie Glue. It looks just like a ball point pen and works just like a ball point pen too. I mean, look at how thin the lines are. So I ran this glue pen in all directions and waited for the glue to become tacky, then grabbed the gilded leafing and placed that over the areas I had glued. I then wiped away the excess leafing and put it straight back into the container I keep it in, and there you have your thin gold lines.

I hope you like today's project. If you have any questions, let me know.
