Who doesn't just love this dahlia?
As a FREE Sale-A-Bration product, the Delicate Dahlia is my favourite. I love that is is a 2 step stamp set - if you don't know what that means ... there are two steps to achieve this finished look. One is the outline which I has stamped in black and the second is the solid stamp which I have coloured in the flower and leaves with colour. I could have only stamped the outline image and coloured with Stampin' Blends® or Watercolour Pencils or whatever you like butt he solid stamp takes out the guess work of where to add shading and where not to. I also grabbed my Painted Texture 3D Embossing folder to add a bit of interest to the card.
I raised the Painted Texture 3D Embossing layer with adhesive foam sheets that I cut up into wide strips. I did fussy cut the leaves, flower and sentiment as there is no coordinating dies for this Sale-A-Bration product. To be honest, it is not difficult to cut out anyway. Remember to move your card stock and not your snips when cutting and leave a small white boarder around your image. I did cut the sentiment up so that I could separate them like I have. The DSP strip is another Sale-A-Bration product.
