Stampin Up! Hand-Penned Petals Bundle

Hello my crafty friends and welcome to my blog.

I hope you had a good weekend. We had a quiet one, although last night we had a virtual wine tasting with a winery in the Hunter Valley. As we cannot go to them in the current climate, they sent samples to us. This was actually a Father's Day gift for my husband that was postponed, as the original wine box didn't arrive, well, not until a few days ago but the replacement box arrived earlier in the week! Thanks Australia Post.

Looking through my DSP packs, I wondered which one I had been neglecting - my poor Hand-Penned DSP. I do love the brightness and the colour combo of this pack and it was my first Suite of products I purchased from the catalogue. I cut a small piece of the DSP that was the height of the card, the same with the Pale Papaya scallop piece. The flower I stamped with Momento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured in the image using the solid stamps in the set. I splattered the base card using my garden green stampin' write marker by flicking the brush end out of the lid. Put some scrap paper down underneath as the splatter has life of its own and will go beyond your project and over your work area. Before you ask, I have never experienced this in my life ... cough, cough.

I raised the flower using dimensionals and adhered the ribbons with mini glue dots. I used the scallop die from the coordinating dies to cut out the Pale Papaya strip. I didn't adhere the dsp to the edge of the card base as you can see. I wanted a very small border on that side.

With the small blue flowers, I didn't want them too dark, so I did 2nd generation stamping. The same with the two smaller the Pale Papaya flowers but the larger flower is full strength. You can probably see I've done the same thing with the leaves. The larger two leaves are full strength, the rest are 2nd generation.
