I hope you all had a good weekend. We are expecting to have a wet week here in Sydney. That should be fun in the afternoon while picking up the kids from school! LOL There are road works happening along the main street, and no parking is allowed, so I am parking further away. Good for my step count. 😁
I haven't played with Butterfly Brilliance in a while and thought it time I did. I teamed it up with the Penned Flowers Dies as well as the label die in the Hippo & Friends Dies. As you can guess, my favourite colour - Polished Pink is making an appearance as well as Bermuda Bay with a splash of gold (Gilded Leafing). Of course I had to use the 2021-2023 In Colour Jewels and aren't they just so pretty. Some heat embossing with the sentiment using the white emboss powder from the Basic Embossing Powders pack. A little bit of die cutting, but an easy card to put together.
To add the gold, I used a paint brush dipped in liquid glue and ran it across the Polished Pink label piece. I used it sparingly as you want the glue to be tacky when applying the Gilded Leafing and I didn't want to wait too long. Once the glue is tacky, carefully grab some leafing (whatever you do, don't sneeze!) and press down over the glue. Use a sponge or a hard brush to remove the excess leafing. That's it! Oh, don't use the leafing if you have a fan blowing or any kind of breeze in your crafting area - trust me, it will go everywhere because it is as light as a feather.
