Global Design Project #GDP261

Hello and welcome to my blog.

Today, I have a challenge card from Global Design Project #GDP261. This week is a colour challenge - Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze and Mint Macaron.

I found this challenge very challenging. I don't know why. I tried a few different combinations but I just couldn't pull it together.

I used my Pumpkin Pie blends to colour in the poppies. The background splots (technical term!) is from the same stamp set as the poppies - Painted Poppies. It has been far too long since I have used this set.

As you can see in this picture, I embossed the white layer using the subtle embossing folder, then I stamped the splots over the top. This gives a different look to how the stamp was intended.

The sentiment is from Ornate Thanks stamp set. I thought the pumpkin pie and cajun craze would be the main colours, but I would keep the mint macaron as the accent colour.
